Valentine's Day

So normally we don't do a lot for Valentines day, maybe a card and dinner.  We still didn't do a ton just got each other a movie and candy but now that we have kids we tend to spoil them (I mean Mommy tends to spoil them, Daddy is the more conservative one- mainly because Treker's birthday is the next day and Kree's is 2 weeks later) but it's so stinkin fun.   Here we are with our presents.

Treker's 1st Haircut

Well I held off til Treker was almost 1 to cut his hair.  I did the same thing with Kree too.  I just waited because when you cut their hair it makes them look so much older and then makes me feel like I don't have a   baby anymore, so sad.  But he needed it so bad, he was growing a mullet.  Treker has mommy's curl whereas Kree has his daddy's straight hair.  

He did so well though, he had a few moments where he wasn't too sure but warmed up fast.  I had the same lady that did Kree's do Treker's too, Thanks Casie!

Sledding

Kree has been wanting to go sledding so bad lately, so Ragen took Kree out w/ his cousins and his Uncle Steve.  These were just a couple of pictures Ragen had taken on his phone.  Kree was so proud of himself for going over all the jumps and he apparently was not scared at all.  Our Little Daredevil, he even ran into a tree but got up and walked away like a champ.

I can't believe that it's 2013 already.  There hasn't been a lot go on in January but it's always fun and interesting.  Treker of course has been trying to fight ear infections for quite some time so we finally decided to have tubes put in his ears on the 7th of January.  Poor thing but he was so stinkin cute though in his hospital gown and teddy bear they gave him just waiting to go to surgery. All the nurses and staff just adored him and how could they not... look at him. He has still been very fussy and we just don't know what to think, everyone raved about how wonderful it would be after tubes, well we haven't seen that yet.  Crossing out fingers!

We have also spent a good portion of time fighting "the Bug."  Treker started with it, then Kree, them Me, then Ragen and then Treker and Kree again. It seemed to never end, I have never seen so much throw-up and I felt so bad for Kree and Treker.

Treker and Kree just love to wrestle their dad and pick on him and if Kree is doing it, Treker jumps right in as well as Hulk.

Kree has been enjoying the snow and now that we have a decent yard, he can go out and play.  He will even play with the neighbor girls in the snow too.  He is always asking to play with his "friends."

Treker is learning to stand by himself and even started taking his first steps.  I love this phase when all they pick up all these new things.

Treker loves bathtime, anytime he hears the water running he comes crawling as fast as he can because he knows that it's bath time, so cute!  He loves it when Kree is in their with him too, they both have fun with each other. They are going to be the best of friends one day, it makes me smile!

We have also started trying to give Treker more solid foods and the only one that has been a success so far is hot dogs... he devours them.

Bring on 2013

Now that we have kids and getting old, staying out late for New Year's Eve really doesn't happen.  We headed over to my sister's house to play games and celebrate.

I can't believe that it's 2013 already, where did 2012 go.  I guess with so many things happening in 2012 it must have flew by faster than expected. Now that we are settled in our new home and both have steady jobs and kids are getting changing like crazy all in the last year... bring on 2013.

We are excited for what this next year will bring in a new house, new town, new jobs and new adventures.

Scooter Mania

On Dec 29th, Ragen's cousin Natalie invited all the family to a fun day in Declo for everyone to meet her fiance Cameron. A lot of the family came.. it was nice to see cousins that we haven't seen for a while. We all brought food and there was so much good food that we couldn't stop eating.

The best part of it was the scooter hockey.  I haven't been a scooter since probably junior high and oh boy my legs were sore afterwards but it was a blast.  The kids loved it too but most of them couldn't stay on the scooters.  We then played some Human Foosball as well and that was fun too but not for the little ones so it didn't last as long.  Thanks Nat for letting us all get together to have some fun and meet Cameron.
