Chandler Reunion

June 22, 2013 was the Chandler Reunion.  We only do this every other year because my mother and her siblings and spouses get together the other years.  This year it was in Boise and my Uncle Robert and Merrilyn were in charge of it.  We had it at a park in Boise, rented a pavilion, ate good food, it had a volleyball pit, toys for the kids, a splash pad and plenty of space that we used for playing catch, etc.
The night before we all rented a hotel room and played in the pool. Kree and Treker loved it, but of course cousins were there and Uncle Steve, Treker just loves Uncle Steve.
Saturday we had so much fun at the reunion, in the sun, kids playing in the splash pad, adults playing sand volleyball, and some fun minute to win it games. My cousin Ashley planned some fun and entertaining games, not to exclude the nasty eggs, old hard as a rock pork rines and sardines dipped in something nasty that I had to eat. Other games such as drinking V8 juice out of a bottle, shaving a balloon, chewing tons of bubble gum and blowing bubbles, wiggling oreos down your face into your mouth, knocking cups down with an orange that is tied around your waist, eating as many salt water taffys they could, eating a ton of chicken n'bisket crackers, etc.  It was a ton of fun!
It was so nice to see cousins that I haven't seen for a very long time and catch up. Can't wait til the next reunion.

T-Ball

I have been looking forward to Kree playing T-ball for a while now probably more than him. We put him through the Y again because he is still so young. This time he was on a team with some people that we knew so it was kind of nice to see familiar faces. He was so cute out there and he is going to be good just like his Mama! They needed a lot of parent involvement to help the kids learn skills and be in the field directing them. I of course seemed to get volunteered every time but that's OK I enjoyed it. Kree did so well at hitting the ball, we have been practicing. He throws pretty good too but catching seems to be the hardest but it will come. I love baseball/ softball season! Play Ball!

California

So on June 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th I was able to meet up with Ragen in Anaheim, CA.  Ragen and been there for a day or two already for meetings, so I decided to head out Thursday to enjoy some time with the Hubby without the kiddos. We really haven't spent a lot of time without the kids before well at least not this long but it was kind of nice even though we missed them like crazy. Thankfully Grandma & Grandpa Darrington were kind enough to take the kids for the weekend.  I planned for a few fun things while we were there and of course lots of shopping.
I flew in Thursday early evening so Ragen picked me up after his meetings and we had dinner at P.F. Changs and that was about all we had time for.  Friday I hit the outlets while Ragen was in meetings.  Oh how I love to check out outlets I have never been to! That night we had bought tickets to Angels/Yankees baseball game.  I was so excited to watch the Yankees!
Saturday I wanted to head to Los Angeles to see my Uncle Joe and Aunt Carolyn who are serving a mission at the visitors center at the Los Angeles temple.  We didn't tell them we were coming so they were definitely surprised.  Uncle Joe gave us a tour of the visitors center and it is amazing what they have in there.and how excited he was to show us everything. Then we headed off to Six Flags.  I love roller coasters but I was a little nervous because it has been a while and since I have had kids sometimes they are a little harder to take but still love then adventure.  Unfortunately, we only rode like 3-4 rides because the lines were so long. Next time we will buy the fast passes.  We decided to leave because there was more we wanted to do and the lines weren't getting any shorter.  But the X2 was probably the funnest ride I have ever ridden, even Ragen thought so.
After our twisting and turning, upside down fun we were trying to figure out what to do... and of course I talked Ragen into SHOPPING! But the outlet mall we were headed to ended up being further than we thought (and Ragen was getting so frustrated and impatient) so we shopped for about an hour and then left to eat at Joe's Crab Shack.  We flew home Sunday, had a great time, picked up the kiddos and we were so excited to see them.  It was definitely time to come home to out babies!

15 Months and Randomness

Treker turned 15 months May 15th.  I can't believe it!  He is growing so fast and becoming more and more of a little boy every day. I love watching him grow and gain his cute little personality and follow his big brother around.  Some stuff to remember:
-Weight: 20lbs 10oz (6%)
-Height: 29 1/2" (8%)
-Head Circ: 19 1/4" (90%)
- knows how to go up/down stairs
-we started to brush his teeth which he is not too fond of unless he gets to play w/ the tooth brush
-seems to always be sick about every 2 weeks w/ something new
-is into everything especially the drawers in the kitchen
-loves to follow Kree around, attack him and wrestle him
-loves his Papa and his Uncle Steve
-tries to sing to the radio especially when Kree is
-still goes to most anyone
-loves his babysitter Marqueta
-loves his blanky and binki
-loves bath time and water
-loves to be outside
- is cuddly when he is tired
- loves to throw balls down the stairs
- is a snacker
-started saying ball, says Kelsi (which Mommy is not thrilled about but it is cute), nite-nite, luv you, bike, shoes, outside, water, baseball, doggy, Mickey, football, and of course Boise State.
-And still has the Chubbiest cheeks and Strawberry Blonde hair

Kree of course is growing like crazy as well. He loves to
-play with all the neighbor kids and ride his scooter
-loves to sing in the car especially when Mommy's favorite songs are on, he will say "Mommy it's our song!", some songs he loves: Phillip Phillips- "Home", Christina Perri's "Thousand Years"
-is very persistent
-continues to be difficult to get to bed and takes forever
-has certain things he HAS to say and do when going to bed: mommy HAS to tuck him in, not daddy, and he always says " Mommy, you check me up?", always has to have a hug and kiss and say "I love you" then I repeat, then "I love you more" then I repeat, then " I love you mostest hostess" then I repeat.  He will not go to bed until these are said and done or he freaks out.  At the babysitter before I leave he has to always ask me "Mommy, you pick me up?" and if he doesn't he will cry until the babysitter lets him call me to ask me.
-he takes forever to get to bed, he is a night owl
-is so excited to start Preschool in the fall
-loves luncheables for lunch
-loves to go to Primary
-is picky with what he wants to wear everyday

The pictures below are from some event that was at Tauphus Park that we stopped by at.  Kree was so excited to get his face painted and Treker was mad that he had to sit in the stroller. Love these boys so much!

Memorial Day Weekend 2013

It was the annual Hunter Memorial Day weekend.  Sunday we all went to church with my parents, my Mom and Dad like to show the grandkids off.  Then came back and hung out at Mom and Dad's house and ate dinner. We eventually made our way to the Annis, Rigby and Grant cemetery.  The kids had fun playing outside together and making human pyramids.
Monday the boys went and played golf as tradition holds and then met all the women and kids at the cemetery in Pocatello to visit Grandma and Grandpa Chandler's grave and Grandpa Hunter's grave.  Later we went to Ammon Park just down then Street from my sister Kari's house.  My brother-in-law Stephen made a zip line in the park for the kids, we rode four wheelers, ate lunch, played wiffle ball and enjoyed each other's company.  Til next year!
