4th of July

I love the 4th of July! I love how kids get so excited for it just like it was Christmas.  We headed off to the parade that morning and even got my Mother to come... this is a rare occasion.  My brother Taylor and his family were in town from Vegas so Kree and Treker had some cousins to share the fun with.
Later that day, Grandma and Grandpa had bought a little kiddie pool for the kids to play in and they had a blast.  That night we headed to the river to watch the fireworks. I had marked off a spot the day before to make sure we got our usual spot.  We have been sitting in left center field of Civitan Park for as long as I can remember... I love traditions. It was a good time with family as always.

Fireworks at Home

We were so excited to have fireworks at our own home this year, having our own yard and space to entertain is such a good feeling. We had some of our neighbors over that have become good friends, the Grahams, my parents came, and my brothers and their families were there as well. The kids had a ton of fun together. Treker was a little hesitant but Kree did better this year.

Fireworks at Huntsmans

We started the 4th of July festivities off with the Huntsman Fireworks and some fun with the Beach Boys.  Our friends Chad and Stacey Cox and their adorable 3 girls and us headed off the Driggs, ID for some fun.  The kids loved playing together and of course were fascinated with the fireworks.  Thanks Chad and Stacey for sharing the fun with us.

Chandler Reunion

June 22, 2013 was the Chandler Reunion.  We only do this every other year because my mother and her siblings and spouses get together the other years.  This year it was in Boise and my Uncle Robert and Merrilyn were in charge of it.  We had it at a park in Boise, rented a pavilion, ate good food, it had a volleyball pit, toys for the kids, a splash pad and plenty of space that we used for playing catch, etc.
The night before we all rented a hotel room and played in the pool. Kree and Treker loved it, but of course cousins were there and Uncle Steve, Treker just loves Uncle Steve.
Saturday we had so much fun at the reunion, in the sun, kids playing in the splash pad, adults playing sand volleyball, and some fun minute to win it games. My cousin Ashley planned some fun and entertaining games, not to exclude the nasty eggs, old hard as a rock pork rines and sardines dipped in something nasty that I had to eat. Other games such as drinking V8 juice out of a bottle, shaving a balloon, chewing tons of bubble gum and blowing bubbles, wiggling oreos down your face into your mouth, knocking cups down with an orange that is tied around your waist, eating as many salt water taffys they could, eating a ton of chicken n'bisket crackers, etc.  It was a ton of fun!
It was so nice to see cousins that I haven't seen for a very long time and catch up. Can't wait til the next reunion.

T-Ball

I have been looking forward to Kree playing T-ball for a while now probably more than him. We put him through the Y again because he is still so young. This time he was on a team with some people that we knew so it was kind of nice to see familiar faces. He was so cute out there and he is going to be good just like his Mama! They needed a lot of parent involvement to help the kids learn skills and be in the field directing them. I of course seemed to get volunteered every time but that's OK I enjoyed it. Kree did so well at hitting the ball, we have been practicing. He throws pretty good too but catching seems to be the hardest but it will come. I love baseball/ softball season! Play Ball!
