Christmas to come...

I have plenty of wonderful pictures from the holidays to come, but unfortunately with all the craziness of the holidays and travelling, I left my camera cord at the in-law's- silly me. So I should have picture for you by the middle of next week. Until then... Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, I know we did and have a Happy New Year!

Catchin' up!

I have really slacked lately with updating my blog, plus our computer has been giving us some fits lately... I think it's time for a new one!! Anyways, I am going to make everything short and sweet from the last month or so. These first few pictures are from our Boise trip, aka.. our Anniversary. We were able to leave Kree home w/ my sister and her family and we decided to go to Boise to get some Chrsitmas shopping done, then were able to go to the BSU game against Fresno State and then have a day or so for our anniversary by ourselves, kidless! Although, I did miss Kree a ton... I have never left him over night until now. It was a good weekend though because I love spending time w/ my Hubby. Happy 4 year Anniversary Sweetie! I love you so much!

Here we are at Red Robin prior to the game. We love Red Robin!

We were able to go to the game w/ Ragen's Brother and his wife and kids and a few friends. We had a good time even though I was freezing the entire time.

THANKSGIVING. Well I forgot to get out the camera on Thanksgiving so the only picture I had was of Kree and his cousin Abree. Kree loves playing w/ his cousins. We were in Declo w/ Ragen's family and it was a delicious meal and a great time w/ family until the day after and the day after that. Ragen got sick the day after- luckily his was not as bad as mine. I was really sick 2 days after throwing up and everything else you can imagine- from about 4 am to 10 pm on the hour every hour. It was aweful! I think I lost about 5-10 lbs just throwing up. But besides all of that, we had a good time.

I had a free family pass to the festival of trees in Poky so we were hoping to take Kree to see Santa there, but we went at the wrong time and Santa was not there... Oops! So Kree was able to do some crafts w/ his Daddy and look at the trees. He was thrilled as you can see.

Here is Kree posing in front of our tiny Christmas tree. He was just being so silly so I had to post a picture.

Here is Kree's latest thrill... he loves sitting on our feet while we walk around. It is so cute! He is doing so many fun and exciting things lately. I can't believe that he is almost 2 in about 2 1/2 months.

  • He loves Mickey Mouse
  • He loves doggies, well actually all animals for that matter
  • He loves to jump
  • Loves to read books
  • His latest phrases that we love "Yo dude!", "I want some", and "miss you"
  • He still won't sleep in his crib since we moved, Hooray for Mommy and Daddy!
  • Loves to bite
  • Loves waffles
  • Likes to list out his cousins name
  • Loves Grandpa's
  • Loves to put money in his piggy bank
  • Loves to do funny walks & dances w/ a side head bang
  • Says "Potty" all the time but we have not put him on there yet.
  • Loves Flo from the Progressive commercials
This is just a few from a list of so many things, I just can't name all of them. What a cutie! We love you so much.

DAD WE LOVE YOU!

It's hard to ever imagine a family member in distress or in pain or imagine anything awful happening to them. When I think of my father I think of a loveable man, brave, supportive, a man who would do anything for his family, his friends, his neighbors, even a stranger. He is a compassionate man, one of the most compassionate men I have ever known. It's hard to put into words how much I love my Dad and everything that he has given or done for me and my family. I only hope that I can be as amazing of a person and an eaxample his him.  My father has always been there for me through everything, for my ups and my downs and has never loved me less for my imperfections but only loved me more. He was always there for me growing up and will always be there for me in the future. I can't even imagine having a better father. He means the world to me.It is an amazing sight and feeling to see my son with my father. My child adores his grandpa and visa-versa and it melts my heart to see them together. This past week has been a wake up call for all of our family. My father had been complaining of some vision problems and weakness in his arm as well as some other complaints but hadn't thought much of them but it kept getting worse so with some encouragement he finally went into see his Dr. That night they took him in for an MRI and the next morning had called my father to tell him that he had had a stroke on both sides of his brain- my father was in tears as well as the rest of us once we had found out, and told him to get to the hospital immediately. My father is only 56 years old- so young for something so serious. They have done numerous tests to find out exactly where the stroke came from and finally found out that my father had a hole in his heart that eventually with time and stress and other factors pushed blood out in larges spurts to his brain causing the stroke and had also found an aneurysm in his heart as well. And come to find that he actually had had a series of 4 strokes in the past week or so.  He is doing so well considering the severity of everything and is very fortunate that the affects are not worse. The Dr's couldn't believe that things were not worse and said if there had been a 5th stroke at that time that things would be a lot worse. He is still having vision problems and some headaches but the Dr's feel that he will make a full recovery with time but also told him that his chance of having another stroke have highly increased but will take preventative measures to help with that. He goes in for a procedure Monday to fix the hole and the aneurysm.  I can't express how much I love my dad and I could never imagine being on this earth without him. I want my dad to know how much I love him and how much he means to me and my family as well as all his family. I am so grateful that he is still here today and will continue to be with us for a long, long time.
WE LOVE YOU DAD!

A Little Family Fun!

The Pocatello Zoo had a "Boo at the Zoo" day on Saturday, so we decided that it would be fun to take Kree. My sister was unable to make it so we brought 2 of her kids with us, Adri and Tanner. They had trick-or-treating, kids games, food and animals. I don't think Kree liked his costume too much, the hood of the Tiger costume kept covering hald his face... oh well. They all had fun... who wouldn't when you get candy!

The later that evening we carved pumpkins, well Ragen carved pumpkins and Kree and I colored ours as well as his body, oh but he had fun.

The final product.

Then I made some yummy Halloween treats that we definitely enjoyed all of within a matter of minutes.

Swore's Farm

Saturday, my sisters family and us went to Swore's Farm out in Tyhee outside of Pocatello. They have a big corn maze and a mini corn maze for kids and little kid games as well as a pumpkin patch. The kids had fun and the adults went crazy with all the kids, plus it was hot! Oh the corn maze, reminded me so much of my high school days minus all the kids. It was nice because Ragen actually was able to come with us and the kids were all over him. My sister's kids look up to Ragen while her husband is in Iraq. It's nice having him around for things like this. His job during the summer keeps him busy but it's winding down since it's only a seasonal job with the BLM.
Just an update on our family: life for me is about the same, still working and loving every second I can get with Kree. He is such a wonderful and funny and determined little kid. I love his growing personality. He is saying so many things now, even some small sentences. He is such a lovebale kid! I don't know what I would do without him in my life. A few weeks back I took him to the Dr cuz he was sick but he was still only 22lbs 14 oz, will he ever gain more weight! He is almost 20 months old. Oh well as long as he is happy and healthy. Ragen has this semester left til he graduates with his Bachelors finally. He is actually preparing to take the LSATs in December and then hopefully on to Law school next fall, that's the plan as of right now. So everyone keep him and us in your prayers that this will all work out. Ragen is such a determined person. When he sets his mind to something he will do everything in his power to achieve it. He is the hardest worker I know and despite hating school he is bound and determined to be successful and I love that about him.

Randomness!

So just catchin up ... Again! It gets so busy or I just get lazy one of the two, but here is the month of August. Just some randomness but good memories. Kree is growing up so fast and doing so many knew things each and everyday.

I can't believe that the summer is pretty much over- September is here already! This summer has been nothing but work, some play and fun, work and then some more fun. Unfortunately Ragen doesn't get to participate in too many things during the summer because of work but hopefully that will change soon.

A little cousin lovin

Mommy turned 27!

Some fun at Grandma and Grandpa Darrington's house by the river

This was my favorite! I kept putting Kree down this slide and he was not thrilled most of the time because the water was so cold, but he was so cute.

I promised Ragen that I would go on the jetski and I did and even took Kree for a little ride. I usually am not big on the water stuff but I am slowly changing, mainly so Kree won't be hesitant about the water.

I had to stick this picture in cuz it's so cute and I love the chair. I want to buy one for Kree. My mother-in-law and I went to the Parade of Homes here in Poky and this was in one of the bedrooms.

Then Randy's Tumbling Gym here in Poky did a family night so I took Kree with my sister and her kids and let them play for a while. Let's just say they were exhausted and ready for bed when we were done, but they loved it.

I'm Catching Up... Finally!

Ok, here it is... I am finally catching up on my blogging. Beware there is a lot below.

4th of July
A few days before the 4th weekend we lit off some fireworks at my sisters house. Kree was fine until they actually went off... he was a bit nervous. Here he is helping set them all out.

Daddy and Kree just being cute.

Then for the 4th weekend we decided to go with our friends Chad and Staci to Island Park and Yellowstone to relax. It was a great weekend and we had a lot of fun. Here is what we did... here we are at Upper Mesa Falls

I love this picture!

We saw a ton of Wildlife including 4 black bears and 1 Grizzly and her cubs. I didn't post these pictures cuz they are really hard to see and no one would probably believe me. We saw a bald eagle and this beauty... we were so close.

A Family Moment.

The Gang! I feel so short!

Kree loves to copy Daddy.

This has to be mineand Ragen's favorite picture. He is just the CUTEST kid EVER!

So one night we went to the Playmill in West Yellowstone to see Beauty and the Beast. It was so good, but at the beginning they do some fun stuff with the audience including Birthdays, well we pretended that it was Ragen's Birthday cuz I new they would kiss him and they did. I couldn't get the picture right as she was kissing him-darn camera! It was fstill fun though.

Kree was trying to touch the "Big Fish" that were supposedly there at Big Springs but really weren't.

Here we are Forewheeling, Kree ended up falling asleep.

Here are our Friends Chad and Staci, what a fun couple.

Steadman's Waterslide
There is this fun waterslide off the Raft River exit, called Steadman's. Ragen's family goes there all the time, so we decided to bring my sister Kari's family along and we had a ton of fun. There is actually 2 big slides, toys, a zipline, and more.

Here we are about to fall off, but still fun.

Heise Hot Springs
So we decided to go Heise Hot Springs for my nephew Derek's Birthday. It was much needed especially cuz of all this hot weather lately. I am usually not the swimming type but I am trying harder because of Kree. I did have fun though. Here is some of the gang!

I even got in the pool.

Look at this cute kid!

Kree having fun with his Uncle Steve. Unfortunately during the summer Ragen has a hard time getting away from work due to all the fires, so he was not able to come. We sure did miss Daddy.

After swimming

Some of Kree's cousins, Kaybrie and Ellie

Pioneer Day Parade and Swimming
I decided it would be nice to get out in the sun and go to the parade even though it was extremely hot and we were not in any shade. Kree had a great time collecting candy and seeing the different floats.

After the Parade we headed to Ross Park for a swim, again much needed cuz it is just so stinkin hot! Plus my Mom and Grandma were coming into town and they came to watch.

A New Move
We decided to move across the street into my Grandma's condo. She moved to Burley to live with family and we miss her tons. I hate moving, the packing and loading and unpacking and organizing and it never ends. It is slightly bigger then where we were before plus it has a garage and laundry which is so nice. Maybe one day we will finally take that plunge and buy a house but probably not until Ragen is done with his Masters. But we are liking it so far.
A Few Random Things
I feel like I haven't shared Kree's latest changes. He went for his 15 month appointment a while back and he is still only 20lbs 10 oz, what a runt! He was 16 months at the time of the appointment and now he is almost 17 months- flying by! Here are a few other notable things:
  • He is into everything
  • He is talking like crazy. Likes to say: " I love Kree," "Please," "Thank you," "All done or All gone," "stinky," "dirty," plus much more.
  • Doesn't eat much lately, no wonder he is only 20lbs
  • Loves to climb on everything and is good at it
  • Bites!
  • Loves to blow kisses
  • Loves being outside
  • Loves to throw tantrums and plenty of them
  • Has gone 2 1/2 days without a binky- yeah!
  • Can open doors
  • and so much more, there is just so much, I wish I could post it all.
