Our Home-made Christmas Tree

This year we had to be creative when decorating for Christmas since all of our stuff is in storage.  We were able to get our little Christmas Tree but that was about it without digging through everything.  So I thought it would be fun to let Kree and us make some decorations this year. We don't ever spend Christmas in our own place so we thought this temporary solution would work to make sure Kree had a Christmas Tree leading up to Christmas.
Here are Kree and Ragen stringing lights. Everyday Kree has to go turn on the lights now, he loves it!

Stringing fruit loops, although I think Kree ate more than he strung.

A little Christmas snack.

Making some handprint Santas. Kree didn't like putting paint on his hands but he loved to put the glue on for all the other pieces.

Handprint Santas, Mommy, Kree and Daddy Santas. Ragen wanted to make sure the Dew can was in the picture.

Candy Cane Reindeer

The end result, our Homemade Christmas Tree.  We also made some colorful snowmen, a clay handprint of Kree... you can't see it really well in this picture but it actually turned out cute, and then of course our colorful star on top the tree.  It was fun, although I think Ragen was getting tired of me making him do these crafts, but it was good family time together and they were all very simple.
I always love Christmas but I am especially excited this year, mainly for Kree.  He's starting to understand a little more.  He calls Santa... "Ho Ho Christmas," I love it!  When you ask him what Santa is going to bring him he will always without fail say "Santa, Ho Ho Christmas... Thomas Choo Choo," it is so cute!  I think he is going to love Christmas morning and I can't wait for it.  Maybe I am excited and little emotional (I will admit) because it will be his last Christmas with just him.  Sounds lame but it is sad, maybe it's the extra pregnancy hormones. Christmas is definitely my favorite time of the year.

THANKSGIVING

This year for Thanksgiving we headed to Sin City to visit my brother and his family.  Kree always loves to go visit his cousin Lili and it's always good to see my brother and his wife.  It was a short trip but worth it.  We decided to drive and my parents and little brother and his wife came as well.
We arrived there on Wednesday evening late and couldn't wait to get some sleep so we could stuff our faces the next day.  Thanksgiving day was nice and wonderful food.  We had a good time, eating, visiting playing games, and eating more.  The next day we did some shopping but not early, we took our time.  Kree and Lili were able to play on some toys in the middle of Town Square, a big shopping mall outside in Vegas.  After doing some shopping Kree and Lili were getting tired so Mom and Shantai decided they would head back to the house with the kids and the rest of us would head off to do more shopping.  Unfortunately we got a phone call shortly after that they had been in a car accident on I-15 in Vegas.  Some guy had run into the back of Shantai's car pushing her into the guy in front of her.  It was bumper to bumper traffic so it was crazy.  We rushed there as soon as we heard.  So Kree was in his very first car accident, thank goodness it was nothing too serious.  Kree was apparently shaken up at first but by the time we got there him and Lili were doing ok and playing in their carseats.  Mom and Shantai were still shaken up and flustered.  The guy behind them got cited and Shantai had to have her car towed.  I am so grateful that they were all ok. The next day we did a little more shopping why the guys went golfing, took the kids to Dinosaur Park and they had a blast.  What a fun park for kids, hectic but fun. Then we went out to eat and rested before we headed out Sunday.  It was a nice trip and always good to get away.  Plus Ragen was able to have his homemade Thanksgiving meal.... the first year we were married we had Thanksgiving with my family and we headed to St George where Taylor and Shantai were living at the time but there place was too small for Thanksgiving so we headed to the Cracker Barrel.  Ragen was very disappointed and has never let us live it down since.

Go BSU!

This last weekend we we took a weekend trip to Boise... much needed.  We had tickets to the BSU vs TCU game so we decided to spend the entire weekend there.  Kree was excited because he loves staying in hotel rooms and especially swimming.  Ragen and Kree had a blast in the pool.  Then of course we went to the game on Saturday, it was cold but tolerable.  Kree enjoyed it but also fell asleep for part of it.  Too bad the outcome of the game was not the greatest- Darn it!  We also were able to get some Christmas shopping done, so it was a very fun and successful trip.
Showing off his jumping skills.

Having fun with Daddy.

My cuties!

The Fam.

Go BSU!

Welcome Home Daddy!

Ragen has been gone a lot to Texas fighting fires, in fact this was the 3rd time since August for 2 weeks at a time.  So Kree and I have really missed having him around.  Kree has wanted someone to wrestle with and right now Mommy is not the best wrestler.  So Welcome Home Daddy!  We Missed You!

Halloween

Kree was so excited about Halloween night after already experiencing Trick-or-Treat street over the weekend.  Once he got the hang of it he didn't want to stop.  We went to my sister's Trunk-or-Treat w/ Kree's cousins. And of course Kree was very excited to wear his motorcycle outfit again.  He has wanted to wear it 24/7 since we got it.
Here is Kree with his cousin's Adri and Ellie.

Kree's Grandma Darrington came for a visit too. She was very excited to see Kree in his costume and Kree was very excited to show Grandma his costume.

Here is Kree with his cousin's Ellie and Hunter.

He is a Pro at it now... look at him.

Kree and Ellie... Best Frienemies

And if course what is a motorcyle rider without his motorcycle.

Trick or Treat Street

So we have been spending a lot of time in Idaho Falls lately since Ragen has been going to Texas to fight fires.  This is the 3rd time since August and he goes for about 2 weeks at a time.  We get lonely and don't like to be by ourselves so we have been in Idaho Falls visiting Grandma and Grandpa as well as cousins.  This weekend we got to spend it all with Grandpa since Grandma is in Coure D' lene for the State Volleyball Tournament.
Grandpa was working at the Chamber Ambassedors trailer at the Trick or Treat Street at Snake River Landing so we tagged along and didn't have to wait in line either.  Kree loved his Halloween outfit and has been talking about Halloween with Grandpa all week.
Kree was also able to spend some time with his cousins.  Kree and Kaybrie were best buds.  Gotta love family.
Kree loves Foosball and has to play it everytime he his at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
My Dad had to dress up in a spider theme so I worked my magic and this is what we came up with. (Notice the big spider on his back)
My buddy and I, wow I love him so much!
He was a bit hesitant but eventually got the hang of it.
 Showing off the spider rings.
He is so STINKIN CUTE!  Gotta love the Dirtbike rider costume.
And at the end of the day he still would not take the costume off.  Overall a very good day with lots of candy.

Boys Rule!

I guess in the Darrington family BOYS RULE! I have found this to be true lately especially because we just found out that we are having another BOY. Yep it is true, Kree is going to be a Big Brother to a Brother. We found out yesterday and there is no doubt that it is a boy. We are so excited! Kree has always said he was having a baby sister and I kept thinking that he must know something we don't. I will admit part of me was hoping he was right. The thought of buying all new clothes, bows, tights, dolls, etc was exciting to me, but I thought about it and I think Heavenly Father is trying to save me from spending a fortune, although I will probably still buy this new little one a few things... can't help it! Also, my sister-in-law made a point that obviously my little girl needs 2 older brothers, who knows. All I know is that we are excited for this new little one to come and the great thing is that I already have so many boy things.  October 5, 2011

I'm Blaming It On Pregnancy!

So after many months I am finally updating the blog. Yes it is true I am Pregnant w/ baby #2. We are way excited but I am blaming this pregnancy on not updating the blog. My mind has not been the same and this pregnancy has not been has easy-going as the last but we are excited all the same. Here is a picture of me at about 18/19 weeks. We get to find out on the 4th... yeah! Kree says he's having a "baby sister." Either way we will be happy and excited for Kree to have a sibling.

Well I will start updating from about the middle of may to the present, so this blog will be the longest blog that I've ever done.
Here is Ragen's 27th birthday.

The annual Memorial Day weekend at the Hunter's and a lot of cousin lovin.

We had my sister-in-law Britnee take some family pictures back in May, unfortunately Kree wasn't as cooperative as we would've hoped. We did get a few decent pictures but I guess that's what we get w/ a 2 year old.

In June Ragen's brother Brogan got married to a wonderful girl named Brittni, yes that is two Brittni/Britnee's in the my family. They are such a cute couple and we love having a new sister-in-law, especially Kree.

Kree's Grandpa and Grandma Darrington surprised Kree w/ a little golf club set. Kree loves golf mostly because his daddy loves it. Kree was so excited and he looks so cute w/ them. He loves putting the most.

In June, we had a Chandler family reunion (Kelsi's mom's side of the family) in Declo. We always have a lot of family and there is always a lot of us. We had an intense game of volleyball and then my sister Kari and I organized a game of Minute to Win It (It is actually more work than you think). It was a ton of fun.

Kree had his first fishing experience and loved it, didn't catch anything but fun. We were able to go w/ my parents and my brother Steve's family.

4th of July... we spent in I.F. Kree still isn't too fond of fireworks, gets a little nervous. Look closely at his face.

Here we are at the parade.

Here we are waiting at the river for the fireworks.

We had the annual Wrigley Reunion for Ragen's family at Indian Hot Springs. We played another version of Minute to Win It, always fun. Went swimming and hung out w/ cousins... Kree loved it.

A week or so later my sister Kari and I decided to take the kids back to Indian Hot Springs to cool down from all the heat, well worth it!

In August Kree and I decided to taga long w/ my parents to Las Vegas to see my brother and his family, unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures but here is one of Kree swimming. He loved hanging out w/ his cousing Lili and it was nice to just get away for awhile plus Ragen headed to Texas for firefighting for 2 weeks so didn't have much else to do.

I decided to buy Kree a tricycle because he is always taking about bikes and I figured he better start learning. He doesn't like the pedals but I figured eventually he will learn.

In August I was also able to go to Josh Groban concert in Salt Lake w/ my sister, mom and Aunt. It was an amazing concert and I would do it again in a heartbeat. We had a ton of fun.

In September I was able to go on a girl's trip to Salt Lake w/ the Darrington women to see Marry Poppins and do a little shopping. We had a ton of fun as girls tend to do.

Over Labor Day weekend, we took a day drive to Sun Valley w/ Ragen's parents for Wagon Days. Kree loved watching the parade w/ all the horses, looking at all the cars and the car show and riding in the bike cart around town... he thought he was pretty cool in it. But I also realized how out of shape I am after riding a bike.

I promise that I will try and keep up w/ the blog. Tuesday we find out what we are having so i will definitely post on that. Girl or Boy? In the meantime Kree keeps us busy and Ragen just got back from Texas for 2nd time so we are happy to have him home. Kree is growing like crazy... well maybe in personality but he is still a scrawny little boy. He talks like crazy, loves his Tom and Jerry, loves cars (could play w/ them all day), thinks he has a baby in his belly, and is a stinker that doesn't want to potty train. We love him so much and it is hard to imagine loving anyone else as much as we do him, but I know when this little one comes that it won't be hard.
